Lesson Template(s)

This template is often used by workshop participants to develop a lesson based on training received in an introductory session.
This template integrates SIOP, understandings and differentiation for English language proficiency levels. It is a template used for teacher training in the ESL Methods and Materials course.
This template provides an alternative for teacher training in the ESL Methods and Materials course where teachers are seeking to explore language differentiation in depth.
This alternative template for the ESL course final project has rubric-type support, but it is embedded in the lesson. The teachers can either write their lesson in the blank one at the bottom, or type the project into the template and delete the points and support in italics as they go along. They may need to make modifications, particularly in the body of the lesson, but expectations for the components are communicated.

This template by Lauren Keppler assists teachers in thinking through the language needed to match a content objective and planning for all levels of ELs.
